Senior Research Scientist: Eos Energy Storage, 04/15 – 12/18

  • Developed innovative cathodes, anodes and electrolytes for zinc hybrid cathode batteries

  • Built & managed one of the largest battery test labs in North America

  • Studied electrochemical properties and lifetime mechanics of zinc hybrid cathode batteries

  • Analyzed corrosion properties of various cell components

  • Developed quality assurance and manufacturing methods

  • 5S certification, FMEA training

Postdoctoral Research: Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University, 04/12 - 04/15 (research advisor: Professor Daniel A. Steingart)

  • Developed innovative cathode and binder materials for manganese-zinc alkaline batteries as part of an ARPA-E RANGE project,

  • Successfully developed 3D foam and wire manganese-zinc batteries, as well as structural lithium ion batteries based on a metallic fiber current collector in cooperation with researchers at NASA Glenn Research Center

  • Used in-situ transmission x-ray microscopy and x-ray diffraction techniques via the National Synchrotron Light Source at BNL

  • Co-developed acoustic time-of-flight battery characterization technology
